Eminent Nigerians are expected at the prestigious 2022 Arewa Media Practitioners Personality of the Year Awards which scheduled to holds on 13th August 2022, in Kano.

Arewa Media Practitioners will roll out the red carpet in celebration of men and women, who have distinguished themselves as achievers of excellence in their various fields of endeavours.

The award is an annual event that celebrates excellence, national pride, and service to humanity in business, politics and other facets of human endeavour.

The event will hold at The Murtala Mohammed National Library, Kano

This year marks the 7th edition of the award which is tagged ‘Celebrating a Decade of Excellence.’ 

Most of the awardees, are expected to be at the event personally to receive the awards.

Those to be honoured during the 7th  edition of the awards are, Abdulsamad Isiyaka Rabiu Chairman/CEO BUA Group (Private Sector Icon of the year), Jaiz Bank (Best bank of the year), Senator Uba Sani Best Senator of the year, Senator Aliyu Magatakarda Wammako “Political Icon of the year” CEO Hamir investment Alhaji Hamisu Rabiu (Businesman of the year)

Three governors, who have impacted in their respective states will also be honoured at the prestigious event.

The Governors of the Year include Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje of Kano state, Rt. Hon. Aminu Bello Masari of Katsina state, Alhaji Muhammad Badaru Abubakar of Jigawa State .

Also, the Lifetime Achievement Award will be given to Alhaji Aminu Dantata, Gen. T. Y Danjuma rtd, Dr. Oladiti Akanmi PTD National Chairman.

Dr. Bashir Jamoh will receive the Public Sector Icon of the Year award.

The Vice Chancellor Ahmadu Bello University, Prof. Kabir Bala will be honoured as the Education Icon of the Year (national) award, Alhaji Halliru Jibo Nigerian Union of Teachers Education Icon of the year (State) award, Hon. Awwal Yahaya member kaduna state house of Assembly Political Icon of the year (state) award, Dr. Aliyu Hamza Balarabe Medical Director/CEO Federal Medical Centre Birnin Kebbi “Epitome Of Humility award”, Dr. Aisha Shehu Adamu Medical Director/CEO Federal Medical Centre Jalingo “Epitome Of Humility award”, Hajiya Zulaihat Dikko Radda ” Icon of Community service and Societal Development award” and Amb. Laylah Ali Othma ” Woman Entrepreneur of the year award”.
